AGM Thursday 12th July 7.00pm 2018

We hope to welcome the friends and supporters of Derbyshire Open Arts and all our members to attend our forthcoming Annual General Meeting. It is an occasion to meet the committee, socialise, vote for officers who will run next year's event and give us feedback. Your support in this and in any other area you can offer help is invaluable and much appreciated.
At the AGM, we will vote on applying for Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status. Should you wish to view the documents for this, please email us at [email protected]

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the charming Medway Centre in the lovely town of Bakewell. There will be light refreshments available.

Directions for the Medway Centre,New St, Bakewell DE45 1DY :
From the roundabout in Bakewell turn left, if from the Buxton direction or right, if from the Matlock direction; follow the one way system and take the second road left where there is a small pay and display car park. There is limited car parking at the Medway Centre but it is a short walk from the other town car parks.

Social Media Networking Event

70 places exclusively for artists taking part this year, 2018.

Thursday April 12th, 6.30-8.30 at the Gothic Warehouse, Cromford, DE4 3RQ.

Informal chat and discussion about social media, tagging, using hashtags and building a larger audience.

Medley is the name of a group of 8 artists exhibiting together at the Gothic Warehouse beside Cromford Canal.

Groups In New Locations

The Derbyshire Artists Guild is a group of six artists showing work in Swanwick - various styles of art in 2D. Homespun & Made@NO18 is a double venue comprising of a shop and cafe.There will be four artists with jewellery, textiles, art and woodart.

The deadline for applications is Jan 14th.

2018 Groups

All 2018 groups can make a full application on the website.

Plus the extra Opening Days continue into 2018

The event continues to offer the option of being open for 9 days in total. All artists must be open from Saturday May 26th to Monday May 28th. Optional opening from Tuesday 29th May to Sunday 3rd June.

It's happening now!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our artists for taking part in the biggest art event in Derbyshire.

To all our visitors, we hope you really enjoy this sunny weekend of colour across our county.
Our artists are now making final preparations to welcome you to their studios and workshops, to share their inspiration and stories.
Some venues are located off the main roads, so follow the written directions, double checking the postcodes in google maps.
Then look out for the yellow, blue and green entrance balloons.
