Artist Statement

Working in the fantastic Peak District National Park, I make 3D sculptures from fibres including sheep wool, Alpaca, dog fur, recycled silks and bamboo fibre. I am a self taught maker and my work continues to change and develop with each creation. I mainly needle felt but some of my work is wet felted. I work in a sustainable way, my Lion started life on a sheep in Chinley, from Fleece to finished piece, he's a local lad! I like company and hold informal workshops for beginners to needle felting. We always have fun and participants often return and find a real love for this type of craft.
