Artist Statement

Louise's work represents a narrative of her creative exploration and profound connection with her home and surrounding area.
Through the medium of lino printing she masterfully crafts reduction prints that bring to life the region's birds and wildlife. The images are characterized by a captivating palette of colours, meticulously chosen to reflect the vibrant and diverse flora and fauna that surrounds her home. Each of Louise's creations is a testament to her deep-rooted connection with home and The Peak District.

Following careful and detailed cutting of the block, layer upon layer of ink is built up to give a depth not usually seen in lino print.
