Artist Statement

Ruth Gray is an acrylic town and landscape artist whose subjects reflect the post-industrial landscape that she has grown up within the east midlands. She is fascinated with buildings that were once thriving manufacturing hubs or houses that have decades of lived history. To her a row of terrace houses has as much to say as a stately home. Ruth, a member of Peak District Artisans uses matt acrylic paint on canvas board, her work can be purchased from her studio or via shows throughout the year. Next Exhibition will be Tue 24 Sep until Sun 29 Sep 2024 at
Nottingham Society of Artists Friar Gate.
Ruth welcomes commissions and invites to demo her work at art societies.
