Valentine Commission

We are delighted to have awarded our first ever Derbyshire Open Arts commission.  The commission is for a Derbyshire ‘Valentine token’ to be mailed to our press contacts.  We are hoping that this will serve to announce the launch of our 2017 event and raise awareness among press and media contacts.  The commissions were awarded to Val Copestake (padded, hanging hearts) Frances Daunt (felted heart pictures) and Sheila Conchie (heart shaped fabric brooches).  Congratulations to those three artists.

News from the South

Exciting news - there will be Derbyshire Open Arts venues in the South of the county, this year.  Lesley Nason, (contemporary ceramicist) and Sheila Read (jewellery inspired by industrial museums) will be showing their work at Barn Croft, Egginton, 8 miles South West of Derby. Also, in Swadlincote, you will find Ami James and her textile stories on the High Street
If you are in the locality, do make time to go and visit them.
